It's even easier if you pull the standing end of the line _through_ the underhand loop a little bit. (I believe this intermediate stage is called a marlinspike hitch.) Then you don't have to weave the working end in an out... you can just pass it through the part you pulled through the loop.

This is also a great knot as a binder, like binding a bag, pile of sticks, etc. Basically, pretend the thing you are binding is that wooden post, and it's the same thing. I am surprised I don't see videos about using this knot as a binder.

I don't know how many times I've tied it wrong by failing to cross OVER the standing line and come UP through the loop, which puts a second bar across the standing line (just under the first one... see 0:49) prior to tightening the loop... if you don't do those steps, you can't fair the knot properly and you get lopsided coils instead of the lovely symmetrical ones you got here. Kudos!
